Mood Board 2

After the Identities seminar with Roma Patel i decided to create a second Mood Board. This time i wanted to base it on my favourite Avatars of all time, i based it on avatars from computer games i have played over the years.

I used Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, maybe the best Playstation game ever. I also used Crash Bandicoot, also another Playstation classic. I mixed these classic avatars with modern ones. I have Marcus Fenix from Gears of War, this is one of the best games on the Xbox 360 and also Master Chief from the Halo franchise. All great avatars!

Mood Board

I decided to create a mood board for my avatar. I am going to vaguely base it on me but also slightly change the characteristics. I wanted to think of a few words that describe my character and/or appearance.

The first word I thought of is fast/quick. I play football quite a lot and I have always been very quick around the pitch. To represent this on my mood board I have Muhammad Ali and also Floyd Mayweather Jnr, these are two of the fastest boxers ever.

I also thought of determination. I consider myself very determined so wanted this to be inherited by my avatar. To show determination I used Jack Bauer from 24. Although a made up character in a TV show you’ve got to love it!

Intelligent is another word I thought of. I have represented this by having a light bulb on the mood board. I think this is a good and clear way of representing intelligence.

I want my avatar to be quite big, so I have used the tallest building in the world to show this, it is the Taipei 101 tower. This is currently the tallest building, however there are 3 more proposed buildings that will be taller.

At the centre of my mood board I have the Brazilian footballer Kaká. This represents ability and also intelligence.

Collage

I created this collage with pictures/things I had knocking about my room. I wanted to make an image to convey my personality. I created this with pictures I had printed off, pictures I had on my walls, clothes labels and also a beer can. I think the image the items create together does show my personality to an extent. I stuck all my items onto a piece of A3 paper.

Images: I used images of Megan Fox, an Xbox controller, Muhammad Ali, Alan Shearer and also a

Batman Poster I have in my room.

Tickets: I used two concert tickets on my collage. This being from Kanye West who I’ve seen twice and Girls Aloud (A contrast I know!).

Poster: A Kanye West flyer advertising his concert and also the Batman collage. I also have a KissKiss flyer which is the NTU night at Oceana.

Photos: I have used two photos. One is of a few of my mates back home before our leavers do and the other is of my flatmates from last year.

Tags: I have a clothing tag from Adidas Orginals which I have quite a few items of. I also have a Rochdale football top tag, my local team that I follow.
Other: I have cut out the logo from a beer can. Carlsberg Export is one of my favourite beers.

The other collage is from my notice board that I had last year in my residence Gill Street.
